Biography
Hello, I’m Samantha Repa. I am a Queer and Métis occupational therapist (OT). I work from an anti-oppression, decolonization, harm reduction lens. In my practice I draw from an understanding of trauma-informed recovery, expressive arts, play, mindfulness, and sensory based practice.
My Practice
My favorite thing about working with people is seeing them realize the power they have to make change in their own lives. As an OT I work holistically, taking into consideration the person and also their environment and the activities they participate in. I walk alongside people and empower them to identify and work through the struggles no matter how big or small to make room for the life they want to be living.
I believe in community and connection and know that humans are wired to have relationships with one another. I love working with diverse and unique humans to help them clarify their values and goals, to provide a safe place for exploration of emotions and thoughts, and to develop tools for coping with life’s challenges. Each of us has a voice and a story to tell and each of us deserves to have our story heard and a space held.
