Biography
Hello, I am Tess Rowson, I am an occupational therapist. I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of ages and populations and draw my practice from a trauma-informed, holistic lens. I have a bachelor’s degree in family social sciences with a focus on child and youth development. I have had the opportunity to work with preschool and school-aged children in a variety of settings and enjoy learning about their life and experiences and building a safe and inviting rapport with them.
My Practice
My occupational therapy background helps me look at individuals in a holistic sense, taking in how the environment and circumstances of their life shape and mold who they have become. I believe in the power of connection and the strength people can realize in themselves when they are given the support to do so. I am truly honoured to have the opportunity to share and listen to people’s experiences and aim to help individuals connect and explore the thoughts and emotions that their experiences evoke. I aim to always create a safe place to discuss and delve into thoughts and emotions. My hope is to hold a positive space with individuals and provide healthy and helpful strategies and skills for them to use going forward.
