Hello, my name is Rikki, and I am a practicum student at the University of Manitoba, currently pursuing my Bachelor of Social Work degree. I am set to graduate in 2025. It is a privilege to work and learn with the Oak Tree Therapy family, where I am continually growing both personally and professionally under their guidance and supervision. My journey in social work has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide you with the support you need.
My Goals
As a BSW practicum student, I am fortunate to be part of a new social work program at the University of Manitoba. This experience has equipped me with the essential knowledge to provide a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to help you reach your full potential. I aim to develop my skills for incorporating play into therapy with children and to gain more client-centred therapy experience.
I am dedicated to truth and reconciliation in my practice, incorporating land-based wholistic healing in a culturally inclusive, collaborative, and respectful manner. I am thrilled at the prospect of working in rural Manitoban communities and learning new ways to expand my modalities.
