Bio:
Hello, my name is Dillani. I strive to create a safe therapeutic environment to allow clients to access their ability to grow. I’ve achieved a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I am also an active member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I actively embrace innovative practices and tailor to my clients needs to reach specific goals.
My Practice:
I take pride in having the opportunity to work with a diverse population, focusing on client needs. My Masters education took place in a vulnerable sector in Edmonton, Alberta where I learned to provide a safe environment using a trauma informed care approach, clients are invited and allowed to express their emotions. My background ranges from working with children, young adolescents, young adults, adults and couple/family therapy. I’ve had the privilege of working within a drop in counselling program where we would often work with individuals who are presenting in crisis where we tailor the clients care to achieve the best possible outcome. I look forward to working within a diverse community providing adequate evidence based practices.
