Kyra Shaver, BSW – Intake and Psychotherapy Assistant

My name is Kyra, and although I am newer to the field, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow through many life experiences. I currently hold a bachelor’s degree in social work obtained from the Universite de Saint-Boniface, and I hope to obtain my master’s degree in social work in the near future. I have grown up studying education in French and identify as a Metis woman, however, I am actively learning more about my Metis journey and heritage.

My experience and education provide me with the necessary tools and skills to work with individuals, families, and children while understanding we all have different experiences and might want or need a little extra guidance on their healing journeys.

As an intake specialist, my role is to be the face of Oak Tree Therapy, as I am one of the first people you will encounter here! I aim to provide you with a safe, non-judgemental, and compassionate first impression which will continue through your journey with us.

I am newly brought onto the team and can’t wait to grow personally and with Oak Tree Therapy!
