Hi! I’m Madison, a student practitioner at Oak Tree Therapy. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in counselling psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. I completed my Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Psychology at the University of Winnipeg in December 2022. I am also a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
My Practice:
I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment for individuals to talk about difficult topics. I believe everyone is the author of their own story, and I provide a space where clients can openly explore their feelings and work towards emotional healing and personal growth.
I feel that there are no obstacles that are too small or absurd for therapy. If something is upsetting to you, then let us explore it together. It can be difficult to manage a variety of confusing thoughts, feelings, and emotions all on your own. This is why I use a therapeutic approach that is customized around your specific needs along with your strengths. I believe everyone has the proper tools in their belt to overcome an obstacle, it’s just about learning how to effectively use those tools.
While continuously striving to reduce the stigma around mental health, I applaud the self-awareness that it takes to seek help. I would be honoured to be a part of your therapeutic journey.
