Biography
Hello, my name is Giselle Bernardo and I have been honored to work alongside people from all walks of life. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
I am registered with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. I have spent recent years exploring Somatic Attachment work and Internal Family Systems (aka parts work). This year I look forward to starting my three-year certified training in Somatic Experiencing (Peter Levine).
My Practice
The perception of healing is based on one’s own lived experience. I believe that we have the inherent capacity to explore our sense of curiosity met with compassion. I use an integrative and trauma-informed approach that incorporates mind, body, and spirit connection.
My passion derives from somatic-based approaches to support our parts that can sense discomfort and uncertainty. Learning to sit and give voice to those parts and stories can create a path toward healing!
Human connection is the utmost foundation of the therapy process! I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space, and would be more than honored to work with you alongside your journey!
