My Practice
Life experiences can create struggles or barriers and cause us to feel stuck or overwhelmed. When our problems begin to seep into our everyday lives, we may find ourselves with negative emotions and unwanted behaviours. I am honoured and committed to assisting you through your journey to find hope and healing and discover your true potential and strengths. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where trust can be built allowing you to feel heard and seen.
I work from a trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centred approach and incorporate cognitive-behavioural therapy and narrative therapy techniques tailored to fit your individual needs. My focus is anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship conflict, complex trauma, emotion regulation, negative self-talk, and chronic illness/conditions.
I achieved my Bachelor of Arts in 2007, later completed a certificate in applied counselling in 2010, and am currently completing my master’s degree in counselling psychology.
I have worked in career development and mental health supporting refugees and immigrants, youth, adolescents, and adults with co-occurring substance and mental health disorders. More recently, I have worked with the general population in trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, maladaptive self-image and beliefs, relationship conflict, and grief and loss.
