Biography
Hi, my name is Rees (she/her) and I am a graduate of the Masters of Counselling Psychology program at the University of Manitoba.
My Practice
I am a graduate of the Masters of Counselling Psychology program at the University of Manitoba with a pending application to the Canadian Counselling and Psychology Association to become a Certified Canadian Counsellor. I am also a guidance counselor in rural Manitoba and a certified resource teacher.
Throughout my journey both professionally and personally, helping people to feel seen, heard, and deeply understood in this wild world has been my ultimate goal. Psychotherapy allows me to do just that with my clients. I achieve this using a very focused person-centered approach as my foundation and then work with my clients to layer on additional supports based on the goals and needs of their unique growth journeys.
When people come together and talk that beautiful things can happen and pieces of ourselves begin to unlock and then flourish. In therapy, I hope to shine a light on the inherent strengths within my clients and help them see themselves as capable of creating meaningful change in their lives while developing self-compassion.
It is an honor and gift to walk alongside the paths of my clients and my sincere belief that even in darkness, we can find a way to let the light in.
