Biography
My name is Ciji and I have been privileged to be able to work in the helping field and be a person of support and guidance to individuals in need. I am currently a Registered Social Worker and I am completing my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
I have experience working with a diverse population of people, but have the most experience in working with the Indigenous populations.
Learning about Indigenous culture, customs, teachings, and spirituality is important to me on this journey. My goal in life is to continue improving my skill set in the field of helping and strive to improve myself every day until the end so that I can be the best helper and version of myself, I can be to those around me.
My practice
I don’t believe in a cookie-cutter way of living, I believe that every individual has a vision of the things they want out of life and an awareness of what makes them happy, and it is from this vision that we work together to set goals to achieve them.
I practice from a person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed perspective. Life is not an easy journey and at some point, we may all need help dealing with struggles. It is my goal to help guide and support a person in their own self-discovery and encourage them to engage in problem-solving. It would be an honor to walk with you in your healing journey and support your growth.
