Biography
Hello, my name is Kristen Wright, and I have been honoured with the privilege of walking along with individuals, couples, children, and families in their healing journeys. I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and I am registered with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and am looking forward to pursuing a PhD in Psychology in the future.
My Practice
Healing can have different meanings for people. So, whether you are looking to heal from past trauma, work through current difficulties, or are wanting to change directions in your life, I would be honoured to share and hold space with you as you begin, or continue, your journey. I use a holistic, anti-oppressive, decolonizing, trauma-informed approach to practice, and tailor my style to meet the unique needs and preferences of each person that allows me to join them in their healing. No matter the difficulties or darkness that has brought us together, or the distance you wish to travel, you do not have to go it alone.
“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow” – Mary Anne Radmacher
