Biography
Hi there! My name is Bailey, and I am a student practitioner at Oak Tree. I am currently in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program at Yorkville University and am working to complete my practicum requirements with Oak Tree. I completed my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree (with honours) in the field of Psychology and hold a minor in the Family Social Sciences at the University of Manitoba in June of 2021. I am also a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
My Practice
Creating a welcoming, safe, and non-judgmental space is at the forefront of my work. I work with clients facing a variety of concerns, from everyday stress and anxiety to loss and grief, and the many things in between. I want to emphasize that I believe no concern is too small; if it is bothering you, I want to hear about it. I combine various modalities allowing me to tailor my approach to each individual and their unique needs and goals. Above all, I like to support clients in finding their voice and recognizing their strengths. Therapy can be intimidating, and asking for support can be difficult, but reaching out shows immense strength and self-awareness. Therapists hear from client’s – time and time again – about the healing power of being provided with a space to be unapologetically open and simply themselves. I would be honoured to provide you with this opportunity and support you on your journey.
